I thought I commented in your thread but apparently only did it in my mind and actually forgot to post. I need spare brains plx.
I really like your character artwork and character proportions. The rit with the skull is so sweet. Well, deadly but sweet. :P You use a lot of grey tones and it looks pretty neat when contrasted with some highlight colors like in the monk painting. Really enjoyed browsing through your thread. Very inspirational.

Haha I would have liked to put my own spin on the armor but in the end I settled for a slight caricaturization.
The perspective didn't help either
Overall I'm pretty pleased with how fast this one went. I looked out the window this evening, saw the sky and that was the bg. Everything else just fell into place. Was a blast. Well actually halfway through I remembered Brawler wanted a wallpaper and had to open up the canvas a lot. Yay absentmindedness!
EDIT: FAWK I left out the W from GWAMM.
Updating xD

I think the larger than life-ness of his armor makes it looks even more epic in this pose
Now if only I can get that kind of inspiration for hailfall's necro... D:

Name: YunSooJin
Commission Type: The full one. (50+20) version
Character: Reyla Terest
Background: Reyla is the staff sergeant who will beat you to within an inch of your life. On the other hand, when it comes down to business, she will take the bullet for those under her wing. Character is in her mid-late thirties to mid forties. She is pragmatic, stoic, and principled. In a fight to the death, she will use anything and everything. Not afraid to use the environment around her (rocks, dirt in the face, etc), not afraid to let go of her weapons or shield if it will win her the fight. She avoids killing if possible.
Reference Pictures:
Face
Eyes: Light grey, with a hint of blue
I had two different ideas in mind. Ideally I'd like to get them both done, but you may choose whichever you'd like to do for this commission.
Idea 1:
Armor Reference:
Upper_1
Upper_2
Lower_1
Lower_2
Weapon Reference:
Axe
Shield
Scene: I wanted a 45 degree angle on Reyla. It is up to your discretion on whether the view on her is close up, further away, below her, above her, etc. I'd like a 45 degree angle in order to show off as much of her movement as possible. She is crouched, or slightly hunched, coming out of water. She is in full moonlight. There is seaweed tangled in her armor, her hair is dripping wet. She is stalking a victim (not in scene) or attempting to avoid detection. She is holding her axe and perhaps her shield. I was hoping the moonlight would help accentuate her eyes in the picture, as well as the jewels in her armor and the runes on her axe.
My idea for this was slightly motivated by the Navy Seals, coming out from the sea like ghosts, under the cover of darkness to mete out a devastating blow to the enemy.
Idea 2:
Armor+Weapon Reference Pictures:
Full_Body_1
Full_Body_2
Reyla is facing full-body at the view. Not sure if it should be whole body or upper torso. Preferably full body. She is in the process of walking(stalking?) towards the viewer. She is glowering, angry even, maybe a soundless snarl. The embodiment of unbridled rage barely restrained. I'd like her eyes to be blazing, even with light trails, like the Frenzy icon. However, if leaving the pupils and irises in would be better in your opinion, then that should be done. The part I want in particular for this picture is as follows.
I would like your best rendition of a female avatar of balthazar taking ghostly form on Reyla's frame. I was hoping the 'ghost form' would extend even to Reyla's weapon or shield, perhaps making her spatha longer or more wicked looking. That part is up to you. I have from a previous commission a partial rendition of a female avatar of balthazar, if you would like to see it, although anything you come up with may be better.

Character: White Oxygen
Commission Type: The full one (50+20) But I'm going to pay you 120k because your work is just awsome(and maybe to speed things up ).
Character looks:
Armor: http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...rtRequest1.jpg
I want him to be wearing this armor, but with my head on it (just want him to be wearing FoW bc I will get it...eventually...)
Head: http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...rtRequest2.jpg
I would really like it if you (kinda) follow the scar figure in the face.
Weapon: Tormented Staff http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/gw...nted_Staff.jpg
Background+Theme:
I would like a dark theme to suit my necromancer, kinda underworld-dark you know what I mean. A big, filthy battle just came to an end and Oxygen is the last man standing. We see him standing in the middle of the battlefield surrounded by dead bodies(monsters, humans, ghosts...doesn't matter, they are dead ^^ ). We can clearly see that Oxygen ripped his enemies appart because even their own mother wouldn't recognize their faces/bodies(I don't want him to stand on any rocks to give the "king of the hill"-effect, don't really like that). Altough Oxy won the battle he is not left without injuries. His armor has some scratches on it and he is bleeding here and there (also in the face). The expression we read off his face is rather neutral(But feel free to add a little emotion...it's up to you ). He stands in the typical necromancer pose(which can be viewed in the armor screen) and is holding his staff in his left hand.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In about 2days I'm leaving for about 2weeks and won't be able to acces my computer, so just take it easy on this one, no need to rush it I hope you see my post within 2days from now, and if you do, would you please let me know if you're up for my request or not? Thanks in advance.

I'm just going to take the brutal initiative here since otherwise this is going to develop into a problem later on:
Since the closing of the original queue I'll be raising my prices to at least 200k. "Holy crap that's insane," you say. Yeah it's insane, and sorry if it's more than you want to pay, but that's part of the goal. I find it a lot easier to do a few high-priced commissions than a lot of lower priced ones. There's also just too damn many of you to handle... ...and the fact I don't play GW that much anymore.
I'll still honor the original prices for people on the original queue but do understand cash is king and since I do reserve the rights to pick whomever I wish to paint at whim, queue order is nearly meaningless. If you're pissed, that's alright since there are some other talented artists on this forum who will be more than glad to have your business. For those who hate to have money stored in-bank, feel free to spend it now; if you don't have the cash when the painting is done, I can hold the painting until funds are available.
I would have liked to have posted this notice later, but I feel I'm pressed to release my intentions earlier since people seem to have taken a cue to start commissioning again.

EPIC. 8D
I love the composition. I quite like his "fatty" look. Adds to the epicness. If he was just a tall, slender sort of warrior it would not have the same impact. Especially considering the character's name, and the obsidian "barrel" armour, it looks very powerful.

i still very much want my commission done, i would love to offer more cash but the truth is i just can't get on gw to farm more right now. (my fiance' and i just had our first child a week ago, 2 months premature bub is still in hospital) normally i would be ok to give u more, and after doing commissions recently i understand how sometimes u need the extra motivation to keep doing it.
i am mostly just letting u know that i still very much want my commission would rather sooner then later (ty for honoring your original prices) and when i can i will offer more cash to move up the chain.

Hi, I know i'm quite pushy atm but I would like to know if my request has found a place in your To-do-list? No need to rush it, just want to know if you will do it sometime or not. Ty.
